Rowing on Glasgow's River since 1865, Clyde ARC are a club with a proud history and a bright future. We welcome anyone from complete beginners to elite rowers.

WHAT - is rowing? See the ABOUT page

WHERE - We are based in the historic west boathouse on Glasgow Green, near the weir. See what we row in and where we train on the BOATS AND FACILITIES page. For directions to the Boathouse, scroll down this page for an online map and directions.

WHEN - Beginner sessions are on Saturdays 10.30am and Wednesday evenings at 6pm. More experienced rowers have access to the river whenever it is light enough to row safely. Updates available on the NOTICEBOARD, get to this by clicking the picture opposite.

WHO - Anyone can learn to row. As long as you are aged over 14, don't have a medical condition that would stop you exercising, and can swim 50M in light clothing, there is nothing to stop you giving it a go. Our highly qualified coaching team have vast experience in introducing beginners to the sport, as well as coaching champion crews.

HOW MUCH - Try rowing for a free session to decide if you like it. Then, you can pay as you row for a few weeks before joining up. Full adult membership works out about two pounds a week, with discounts available for students, young people and OAPs. Further deals available to college students. See ABOUT page.

Once you've decided to join.... Go to the CONTACT AND LINKS page to find our email address.
